The
purple ethos
We're
proud to say that we're REAL hoteliers. Not janitors
managing a building full of bedrooms. We care
and uphold the traditions of hospitality and we apply them
to the low cost sector, where you don’t need to think
too much about whether you can afford to stay for the night.
We're staffed by REAL people who got hired because
they are hospitable (there's a big idea, hospitable people
in
the hospitality business). Usually we're spot on the job
we're there to do (89% of our guests say we're friendly & welcoming,
the other 11% must have come on a bad day) and sometimes
we get it wrong - sometimes really wrong but not often.
When that happens our 100% service guarantee kicks in.
If you
are not 100% satisfied with us and we can't put right the
cause of your dissatisfaction within a reasonable period,
say 1 hour, we'll refund the cost of that component of
your stay. You can't get more real than that.
We serve REAL British food & drink (like
chicken tikka masala and steak frites) in our restaurants
and bars, not
mucked about with, drizzled, seared and otherwise incomprehensible
stuff that chefs like and everybody else doesn't understand.

Deal with Purple
A
purplehotel is
designed to give you everything that you need and nothing
that you don’t.
purplehotel bedrooms
are spacious. Not as big as Monaco or Lichtenstein, but
big enough for you to walk around the bed without turning
sideways whilst carrying a a suitbag, laptop and iPod.
The beds are large, too, with squishy duvets you can
get lost under and good firm pillows that don’t
feel like boards or beanbags, but – well, like
good firm pillows! We’ve got the tech side covered
too. Climate controls in the room, including a/c. Wifi
broadband throughout – and wired in the rooms as
well, if you’re a ‘secret squirrel’ type.
Then there’s a walk-in power shower that’ll
clean your body and wash away the cobwebs. It’s
even got a seat, if it all gets to be too much, or just
to put your bits and bobs on.
Downstairs the lobby is the
café-bar. We serve
great breakfast and dinner, with a cut-down menu for lunch
and Lavazza coffee all day. There’s terrific music,
with a big screen for news and sports.
